Our client services pharmaceutical companies and other healthcare institutions . Their primary business purpose is to help clients increase the effectiveness, as well as lower the cost, of activities pertaining to scientific communication, medical education or product/service marketing. They are currently seeking a Support Specilaist for their Montreal office.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose problems reported by users (onsite /remote)
• Propose and apply solutions to identified problems
• Provide training to users
• Follow up with users on open service requests
• Work closely with users to improve system performance and satisfaction
• Provide initial troubleshooting and support on all incoming support requests, via email or phone.
• Support employees on technical issues that related to enterprise applications.
• Ability to attend to after hours support issues.
• Investigate and identify solutions to work around open production issues.
• Follow corporate standard, document and track issues and actionable steps taken with RT and Jira ticketing knowledge base systems.
• Act as liaison to vendor, project manager, quality control, development team in an effort to offer proactive service improvements.
• Ability to work Ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
• Oncall support rotation.

Requirements:
• Education: Technical IT diploma and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years experience in an IT support role.
• Mandatory knowledge: 
Windows XP/2000/2003/2008/ support and maintenance (TCP IP, Registry, Command Prompt, Networking...)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
• Other knowledge: Experience with Help Desk management and inventory software
• Microsoft certification, considered an asset
• Apple certification, considered an asset
• Networking knowledge (switches / routers)
• Experience supporting on-site and remote users
• Knowledge of OS X leopard/snow leopard and Lion
• Proficiency in working with desktop and laptop hardware.
• Experience with windows 2003 and Linux servers
• Knowledge of CMS applications.
