Job Opportunity: Tech Support -- Intake Worker (LOFT YCSEI and Nook Children's Program)

NOTE: THIS OPPORTUINTY IS TARGETED FOR HIGH SCHOOL NON COMPLETION INDIVIDUALS
This position will allow a youth to gain experience working at the LOFT and the Nook Children's program in helping manage the daily operations of the sites. This includes web maintenance, tracking and documenting volunteers and clientele.

This position is funded by Service Canada and is open to all Youth, ages 16-30, who are not in school and not currently employed. This is a full-time, contract position. Working hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Thursday. Each Friday is a full day in workshops.

Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate well, is assertive, out-going
- Knowledge of another language an asset
- Solid work ethic and enthusiastic about challenges
- Good organization skills
- Tech support experience a must
- Willingness to persevere in job search activities
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator
• Managing intake of new clients, including referrals to relevant sub-divisions
• Assisting with daily operation of the centre
• Assisting with maintenance of internet system
• Assisting in the upkeep and security of CONC computers
• Tracking and recording daily volunteer and participant sign-in information
• Greeting participants, volunteers, and other stakeholders
• Answering reception phone and transferring to the appropriate extension when applicable
• Recording minutes for staff meeting for LOFT YCSEI and The Nook Children's Program
• Distributing written communiqués to their proper destinations
• Assisting Program team by supporting administrative program needs for the Nook
• Managing daily schedules and monthly calendars for LOFT YCSEI and The Nook Children's Program

Compensation: $10.25/hr. x 37.5 hrs.
