Technical Customer Support (Markham, ON)
CLick here for more details and to apply to this jobThis is a 1 year contract opportunity with a strong possibility of extension with a large multinational semiconductor company that provides solutions to PC's, game consoles and the servers that drive internet and businesses.
Description of Duties:
Answer telephone calls and web tickets (emails) in a fast-paced call centre environment
Answer presales questions to aid customers with company product purchase decision
Direct customers to appropriate online resources for warranty service.
Gather, enter and/or confirm customer, product and system information for the customer database
Perform first-level technical troubleshooting for common technical issues
Escalate issues that require higher level of technical or sales support
Skill Set Required:
Postsecondary degree or equivalent experience
CompTIA A+ Certification an asset
Must have experience with MS Office, Windows XP/Vista/7.
Familiarity with Linux and MAC OS is an asset
Strong PC hardware knowledge.
Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Requires strong customer service enthusiasm and patience for solving technical issues
Call Centre experience is preferred. Customer Service experience (retail or otherwise) is required.
Nice to Have Skills:
CPU & GPU knowledge
Online gamer (PC/Desktop)
